With every apartment in our hotel inclusive of a kitchen, we are located across the road from Moonee Ponds Central, as well as eateries, and coffee shops abound.

These are our favourites however so do try to stop in when you are staying with us:

• Angie’s Kitchen

If you are a Peking Roll lover, then Angie’s Kitchen is for you! Home to Moonee Ponds best dumplings and authentic Asian flavours, it’s no surprise that this luxe Shanghai-themed restaurant is one of our favourite spots to eat. Choose from pan-fried or steamed dumplings, or from their full menu of noodle soups and stir-fries. We love their special homemade mapo tofu and the juicy steamed pork dumplings.

• Carosello

For fresh homemade pasta and Moonee Pond’s best wood fired pizza you can’t go past Carosello located opposite Moonee Ponds train station.

Heading to Carosello’s for dinner is like visiting your Italian Nonna’s house – the menu boasts all your Italian favourites, there’s always a buzzing atmosphere, and the staff always welcome you like family. One of our favourites from their Italian menu is the Papardelle Osso Buco Ragu⁠ with hand cut pasta ribbons⁠, slow-cooked Osso Bucco, Triveri tomato⁠es, wild mushrooms, and rosemary.

• Mother’s Pantry

If you’re looking for the perfect cheese platter, picnic hamper, or an easy meal to bring back to your apartment, make sure to visit Mother’s Pantry.

Family owned and operated, the team behind Mother’s Pantry have over 30 years of Deli experience, and only stock the finest cheeses, antipastos, and a whole range of other goodies. The store boasts a 20 metre deli cabinet coupled with a massive grocery section, made-to-order hampers, and delicious ready to eat meals.

• Bakers Delight

Since all of our apartments come with their own full kitchens, we find many of our guests love to stay in and make their own breakfasts. So whether you’re poached eggs, smashed avocado, or a simple vegemite on toast type of person, you’ll need to pick up a fresh loaf from our friends at Baker’s Delight. Baked fresh daily on-site, they have everything from sourdough and pane de casa, to baguettes and panini’s, and of course delicious pastries if you’re looking for a treat.

• Amore Coffee

Need the promise of a hot cup of coffee to get you out bed in the morning? Don’t worry, we got you! Just across the road from our apartments you’ll find Amor Coffee, where the team of baristas expertly roast their internationally sourced coffee beans fresh every day.

• Porters Liquor

Some days after long day, all you’ll want to do is enjoy the peace and quiet of your own apartment with a nice glass of wine in hand. That’s where our friends across the road at Porters Liquor store come in. Head over to pick yourself up a bottle of wine, a locally distilled gin, or a new craft beer.

• ChewChew Café

Tucked away off the main streets, opposite Moonee Ponds train station, you’ll find the popular breakfast café, ChewChew. With a seasonal menu that makes use of the best local ingredients, it’s the perfect spot to catch up with friends for brunch, pop in for a quick business lunch, or to grab a coffee and bite to eat while on the run.

Everything on the menu is made in-house including your favourite breakfasts and some healthy options like puffed buckwheat toasted muesli with mixed nuts & seeds, cinnamon, and yoghurt. They’re also open for lunch with a range of sandwich and baguette options available including their pork belly with slaw, mayo, pomegranate jam, and cheese baguette.

• Bekka Restaurant

For a romantic dinner, or a special dinner with friends, we highly recommend Bekka Restaurant.  Playing homage to Lebanon’s bountiful food and wine region, the Beqaa Valley, Bekka Restaurant is home to some of the best mezze plates you’ll find in Moonee Ponds.

The menu is designed to be shared so expect to order lots small plates with bold spices and lots of succulent grilled meats. We can’t go for dinner without ordering the Moujadara Croquettes, which are filled with lentils, rice, caramelised onion and served with beetroot labne.  And don’t forget to order the Kibbeh –burghul shells that are filled with minced lamb, pine nuts, onions and spices. We promise you’ll be back for more.
