5 Ways To Beat The Boredom During Lockdown
This word is getting soooo tiresome, don’t you think? ‘Rona is causing serious upsets around our parts here in glorious Melbourne, and as brand new hotel in the Moonee Ponds block, we thought we would come up with some ways to beat the boredom during lockdown 2.0.
At The Sebel Moonee Ponds, we are lucky enough to have 97 stunning (brand new) luxury one and two bedroom apartments which really are a great location to isolate. For one, every single apartment has a balcony (non-smoking of course) so if you are needing to isolate? We are the perfect solution.
Whilst relaxing in iso why not try these 5 ideas to beat the boredom?
- Obviously staying healthy and fit is important. And not being able to use the hotel fitness centre or get outside for exercise is going to be a sore point for many. Don’t despair! You can watch YouTube videos for your fitness regime .. there is pilates, HIIT workouts, yoga and meditation. A quick cold shower after will leave you feeling invigorated and ready for …
- Let’s Get Cooking! They say the supermarkets during lockdown 1.0 sold out of basic cooking ingredients like flour and baking items. Well, stock up (across the road we have a supermarket so is easy to pre-order and pick up or have delivered) and channel your inner Gordon Ramsay. Once again, the world wide web is our best friend. You could even create your own Tik Tok or YouTube isolation cooking channel and share the process (the good, the bad and the ugly!).
- Keep your mind active by doing puzzles, crosswords, and all those brain teasers. Write in a journal, email your friends and family but don’t relentlessly scroll through social media … mental state must remain positive. No one needs to be looking at old photos of that time we travelled to to Rio Carnival, or lying on a beach in Bali. Keep that for the mood board and epic adventures post Covid-19.
- Board games and cards! Honestly.The.Best.Fun. Bring all the old timers back out like Monolopy or teach yourself gin rummy.
Get away from the crowds and stay at Melbourne’s newest luxury apartments.
All rooms are fully furnished and feature full kitchen, laundry facilities, separate living room and private balcony.
